Ledbury Artplace has been brought about by combining the creative talents of the textile artist Angie Hughes and the artist/illustrator Jeanette McCulloch in April of 2005.
Angie took over the sole running of Ledbury Artplace in September 2006. Jeanette is a now Community Arts Coordinator, professional illustrator and textile artist but still offers creative courses at Artplace.
Ledbury Artplace is a recently renovated 18th century building, comprising of purpose built art studios and workshop, in a courtyard setting. With facilities for teaching a variety of drawing, painting, textile and craft subjects, the programme of 2007 workshops is sure to offer something of interest for creative people.
The library, shops, restaurants and inexpensive car parking are within a minutes walk away. The town is also served by an excellent railway and bus service.
Angie's ambition for Ledbury Artplace is to be able to offer the greatest range of classes, asking the very best artists and craftspeople to teach.
