Ineke Berlyn

Ineke is an international textile artist and author.

She was born and grew up in Apeldoorn in the Netherlands and moved to the UK when she married her British husband. Her home in the Worcestershire hills and a holiday home near the beach in the Vendee area of France provide her with plenty of inspiration. Photographs and quick watercolour drawings in sketchbooks form the basis of her work.

She has won several prizes and in 2006 won first prize at the Festival of Quilts for her innovative work.

Her popular book ‘Landscapes in Contemporary Quilts’ was published in 2006 and she is currently working on a second one.

Ineke gives talks and teaches landscape inspired workshops.
